Our May Philosophy Read-In was so very special! Much like our maiden philosophy walk in October of 2015 (which consisted of a small but mighty crew), we were honored to have embarked on our maiden philosophy read-in voyage with a wonderfully insightful and kind young lad, named Thomas, and his mother, Janet.
Our March Think & Drink (squared) was lovely. We enjoyed a lively discussion about a topic near and dear to our hearts — empathy. Specifically: the value, role and evolution of empathy and its relationship to “Good & Evil” and (a closely related area of exploration) the neuroscience of free-will. A one-night only special concert featuring St. Louis, MO-based flamenco guitarist & composer Lliam Christy. Known for his beautifully inventive original compositions and passionate performances, Lliam plays an intriguing mix of traditional Flamenco along with Brazilian, Cuban Classical, Popular and some surprises. Come join us for a night of beautifully inspiring music & support a great cause. Part of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Merlin CCC and help to support philosophy in the community. Doors open at 7pm. Concert starts at 7:30pm. Suggested donation of $15 at the door. Beer & wine will be available. Open to all ages!
