2023 Greater Helena Gives Day
May 3 @ 8:00 pm - May 4 @ 8:00 pm MDT
What We’re Raising Money For…
A lot goes into putting on programs in the community. In addition to the public-facing side of things, there is a lot of behind-the-scenes work that has to get done in order for a program to take flight.
That’s why we need your help.
From honoraria and curriculum development, to materials, logistical planning, and more…your contributions help support all elements of our philosophy in the community programs.
It really does take a community!
Your Donations Help Support Programs that Foster & Strengthen Community
Our philosophy in the community programs are free to the public and support critical, creative thinking, the exchange of ideas, and the application of philosophy to everyday life. More broadly, they are opportunities for people of all backgrounds and ages (from children to elders) to gather, to learn from and with one another, and to uniquely cultivate their personal and civic selves. How to Donate on Greater Helena Gives Day
Greater Helena Gives is a great way to show your support for local non-profits. Greater Helena Gives takes place on May 3rd – May 4th from 8pm – 8pm MT.
- You can make a contribution to Merlin CCC on that day here.
- You can also make a contribution via check to Merlin CCC (Mailing address — PO Box 2034, Helena MT 59624) or on our website.
- You can pledge to give on the Greater Helena Gives website by entering a donation amount (whatever you’re able to do on May 3rd-May 4th), and then choose the frequency of your donation (e.g., every two weeks, once a month, etc.) and a period of time (for 6 months, 1 year, etc.) or until a specific amount has been reached. This way, you can donate on Greater Helena Day and set the parameters for your continued donations on a scale that meets your current situation and needs.
- Alternatively, you can pledge to give on the Merlin CCC website in a similar fashion by becoming a sustaining donor.
Please show us your love by supporting philosophy in the community on GHG day!
We believe very deeply in the value and relevance of philosophy and its ability to improve our everyday lives. We also believe that it is (and should be) a resource for everyone — regardless of background or age — and that it is not meant to be closed away in some book, but to be lived.
Cross-disciplinary, innovative & inclusive, our programs are geared to:
spark and encourage the exchange of ideas & the fun of doing philosophy
promote critical, creative thought & reflection
cultivate “philosophical sensitivity”
nurture and contribute to a sense of imagination and wonder
reconnect people with nature by way of doing philosophy in inspiring places
facilitate the application of philosophy to everyday life
inspire leadership & meaningful action, and
build, foster & strengthen the community and environment
