2018 Reeder’s Alley Block Party Community Fundraiser Event

We were thrilled to serve as the new hosts of the Reeder’s Alley Block Party this year and are so thankful to the Helena community for coming out to partake in the festivities! A celebration of community & ideas (and, of course, one of Helena’s most beloved historic sites — Reeder’s Alley), our fun and festive block party fundraiser was dog-friendly, kid-friendly, fun for all ages and featured:

  • Live Music
  • Montana Microbrews, Wine & Tasty Eats
  • A Local Youth/Adult Dance Act
  • Games & Raffle
  • Fire Dancers & Fire Poi
  • Helena’s Playable Playgrounds
  • Tours of Pioneer Cabin
Heartfelt thanks to Helena, our title event sponsor (Montana Heritage Commission), our numerous community sponsors and donors, our volunteers, vendors, entertainers, musicians & Reeder’s Alley!  Check out thank you’s, video, press, and photos from the day below!

Celebrating Community & Ideas

Critical, creative thinking, reflection, and civil discourse are essential to the health and longevity of a community. And philosophy is an important aspect of this!  Our fundraiser event was about:

  • Celebrating Community & Ideas
  • History, Loved Ones & Reeder’s Alley
  • Honoring Thought & Action
  • Creating Environments that Encourage Intellectual Curiosity
  • Encouraging the Exchange of Ideas & Civil Discourse and Having Fun with Philosophy!

We were thrilled to be hosting our celebration in Reeder’s Alley!  Rich in history and a tangible testament to what can happen when people come together, it is the perfect location.  Cities are born, challenges are overcome, communities are built.

Special Thanks…

To GOVERNOR STEVE BULLOCK for helping to kick-off our event

and honoring Pat Boedecker, Reeder’s Alley, and philosophy in the community!

Event Video & Press

We were thrilled to have Michael Chapman photographing the festivities and Lenny Eckhardt of Dead Dino Productions capturing audio-video for us again this year.  See below for a photo collection of the festivities.  As soon as the video is completed, we will post it here.  In the meantime, please check out some local press of the shin-dig below….
