July 2019 Philosophy Think & Drink (Helena)

What a lovely gathering of minds at our July Think & Drink!  In fact (spoiler alert), we got so caught up “in the flow” of the conversation that we captured far less notes than we normally do.

We were especially grateful to welcome a fellow traveler hiking the Continental Divide who joined us for the eve (at the suggestion of our pal, Martin Richard, from Martin’s Wines!).  Our area of exploration was, in fact, inspired by him!

What We Explored

  • What exactly is “thinking”?

  • What does it mean “to know”?

  • Where does intuition fit into all of this?

  • What about “flow”?

  • And…of yes…for good measure…what is the value of understanding history?

Whoops!  We got so caught up “in the flow” of the conversation this month that we failed to capture as many notes as we normally do..we’re sorry!  Doh!

Thank you to the Philosophy Learning & Teaching Organization (PLATO) and Montana Internet supporting philosophy in the community and helping us bring activities like these to the Helena community!
