Philosophy Walk (Part 1 of 3 – Fall Series)

FreePlease join us on Sunday, September 24th from 9am – 12pm for part 1 of a 3-part Fall Philosophy Walk series concerning environmental ethics, conservation, preservation, hunting & hunting ethics, governance/policy and community. This particular walk will focus on environmental ethics, ecology, conservation & preservation (wildlife & habitat).
Guest Speakers/Co-Philosophers-on-Trail: Mark Smillie, Ph.D. (Professor of Philosophy & Environmental Ethics, Carroll College) & Patricia Heiser, Ph.D. (Associate Professor of Earth Science, Carroll College) & Bill Hallinan (Wild Divide Chapter Volunteer, Montana Wilderness Association).
Location: Merlin Nature Preserve
Geared for adults, though teens/young adults are welcome. No background or training in philosophy is necessary to participate. Bring a sack lunch and/or snack. $10 suggested donation. Due to nature preserve logistics, registration and/or confirmation of attendance for our September Philosophy Walk is required.
