Philosophy Think & Drink – Special Topic: Moral Dimensions of Homelessness (Part 2)

September 13, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm MDT

Free

In light of the rise in concern about homelessness in Helena, our August and September Think & Drink sessions [as well as our September Think & Drink (squared) session] will be dedicated to discuss the moral dimensions of homelessness.

In this month’s gathering we will begin by reviewing some of the phenomenological aspects of homelessness and concepts of ‘home’ discussed during our August Think & Drink. With this as our platform, we will then explore and discuss some of the practical challenges and concerns of homelessness.

**Due to anticipated numbers, OUR SEPT. 13TH GATHERING WILL BE HELD IN THE LOBBY AREA OF THE PLACER (located directly across from our normal location at The Sapphire on Last Chance Gulch). Thank you to Martin & Steven of Martin’s Wines for donating the space to our group this month!**

Light snacks, beer & wine will be provided. FREE. Donations appreciated.

About Our T & D’s:

Wine, grog & spirits are up our alley! And talking philosophy over libations…even better!

You do not need a background in philosophy to enjoy & participate in these gatherings. Our think & drinks are casual and informal. An open mind and a desire to engage in thoughtful dialogue (whether from a listening or contribution standpoint) is all that’s needed!

For those who love philosophy but prefer not to partake in the libations side of things, don’t let that stop you from participating in the fun. We emphasize the think over the drink!
