Our 2018 Reeder’s Alley Block Party was a success! Thanks to the generosity and support of our sponsors and donors, and to everyone in the Helena community for coming out to partake in the fun, we were able to raise $2,302 for philosophy in the community and Reeder’s Alley!

In light of the rise in concern about homelessness in Helena, we are dedicating our August and September Think & Drink sessions [as well as our September Think & Drink (squared) session] to discuss the moral dimensions of homelessness.
We are thrilled to announce that our organization has received a GRANT for the second year in a row from the HELENA EXCHANGE CLUB! Thank you so much, HEC, for believing in our vision and awarding us $500 for our Philosophy in the Community Program(s) for youth, teens, and children.
We are beyond elated to announce that our organization has been awarded a $5,000 grant for our 2018-2019 Philosophy Symposium-Walk Series “The Environment, Ethics & Conservation Stewardship” from Humanities Montana.
Philosophy as a “way of life” is integral to what we do as an organization. Philosophy is not meant to be closed away in some book but, rather, to be lived! To have been selected to participate in the National Endowment for Humanities Summer Institute “Reviving Philosophy as a Way of Life” is such an honor! We are so excited for the opportunity!
Thank you so much to PLATO for inviting us to serve as panelists at the American Philosophical Association Pacific Division Conference in San Diego, CA in March 2018. It was an honor to speak alongside such amazing scholars doing great work in the field and to contribute to such an important movement. Long live philosophy in the community!
We are ALIVE WITH JOY! Rainbows and butterflies abound! We just received word that for the 2nd year in a row, PLATO is awarding our organization a grant for our Philosophy in the Community programs….and this year in the amount of $7,000! We are honored to have been selected by such a prestigious organization and are looking forward to providing the Helena & surrounding communities with unique, fun & accessible opportunities to do, breathe & live philosophy!
